About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, as part of the Systems Engineering group. The program lasts 10 to 12 weeks and focuses on providing hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Write PLC and HMI programs to support plant operations.
- Track and document plant changes, which involves visiting sites to take measurements and verify documentation.
- Analyze data related to motors, drives, utilities, oil, and water usage.
- Create reports for distribution to the engineering team.
- Solve routine technical problems and assist with cross-departmental projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or technical degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Proficiency with general computer tasks.
- Basic understanding of programming languages like SQL and Visual Basic.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to communicate clearly with team members.
- Prior experience in mechanical or maintenance work is a plus.
