About the role#
The QA Research Intern will join our Quality Assurance department for a 10-12 week summer program. You will work on projects related to meat science, animal science, and microbiology. This role offers the chance to contribute to ongoing research initiatives while learning about our manufacturing processes. Interns are expected to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
What you'll do#
- Work on hands-on projects across meat science, animal science, and microbiology.
- Contribute to current research initiatives within the team.
- Collaborate with internal teams to complete assigned projects.
- Meet with management to discuss your professional development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Knowledge of meat, food, or animal science.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- General computer skills.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesize information and learn new skills quickly.

- This position is based on-site in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota.
- This is a paid, full-time summer 2027 internship.
- Housing is provided when needed.
