About the role#
Entegris is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Co-Op for our Burnet, Texas facility. This is a full-time, 6-month assignment for the Winter 2027 term. You will lead two high-impact projects focused on air emissions and water discharge strategies. You will work on-site to help the company improve environmental performance and meet sustainability goals.
What you'll do#
- Map and evaluate air and water emission sources across the facility.
- Partner with Facilities, Operations, and external engineering firms to develop a new emissions scrubber strategy.
- Establish the site's first quantitative emissions assessment by using monitoring data and analytical testing.
- Evaluate the performance of existing and new scrubber units to determine the best deployment strategy.
- Develop emission projections that align with the site's 5- to 10-year growth forecast.
- Coordinate with technology manufacturers to assist teams with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, new product development, and operations teams to execute solutions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemistry, with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from January through June.
- Experience with Excel and pivot tables.
- Analytical skills to assess the accuracy and relevance of data.
- Hands-on experience with chemical processing equipment and air or water testing instrumentation.
- Familiarity with working alongside third-party laboratories and consultants regarding factory HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with your university's requirements for co-op participation.
