About the role#
Entegris is seeking an R&D Co-Op to join the Membrane R&D Group in Bedford, Massachusetts. This is a 6-month, full-time assignment running from January through June 2027. You will work directly with scientists and engineers to support membrane development, surface modification, and characterization projects.
What you'll do#
- Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate the performance, properties, and functionality of surface-modified membrane prototypes.
- Support membrane surface modification and processing studies.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental results to support technical decisions.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to design experiments and troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures, data, and findings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives regarding lab safety, methods, and testing capabilities.
- Adhere to all safety policies, laboratory protocols, and standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for participating in a co-op program.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with experience in data analysis and statistical tools preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Prior laboratory experience gained through coursework, research, or previous internships is preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

- Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour, based on skills and experience.
