About the role#
The Technology Workplace Services Intern manages the company laptop, mobile phone, and audio-visual equipment. You will install and maintain endpoint technologies while serving as the primary point of contact for technical issues. This role involves supporting staff during office relocations and managing requests through our internal ticketing system.
What you'll do#
- Support desktop, laptop, and smartphone issues via phone and ticket channels.
- Act as the first point of contact for internal enterprise applications.
- Provide support to all levels of bank employees.
- Maintain audio-visual and teleconferencing equipment.
- Execute employee move, add, and change requests.
- Manage and categorize tickets within service level agreements.
- Maintain a first-call resolution rate above 90 percent.
- Record incidents and service requests in the ticketing tool.
- Update the internal knowledgebase with common technical solutions.
- Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques.
- Identify recurring issues to build automated processes.
- Set up and deploy IT hardware for new employees.
- Guide users through computer onboarding and upgrade processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree or college diploma program related to computer networking or technical support.
- Experience in a customer service environment.
- Technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Windows 11 and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, browsers, printers, scanners, and WiFi issues.
- Understanding of iOS smartphone troubleshooting and general computer hardware.
- Ability to follow internal IT procedures, corporate policy, and site audit requirements.
