About the role#
As an I&C Operations Intern, you will work with our team in Houston to verify control logic against design documentation. You will own a project for the full 12 weeks of the summer, working alongside teams building geothermal energy projects. At the end of the internship, you will present your work to our executive leadership team and department leads.
What you'll do#
- Verify deployed PLC logic against cause and effect matrices and control narratives.
- Confirm that interlocks, setpoints, and sequencing match field-implemented code.
- Log any discrepancies found in a deviation register.
- Produce issued-for-record as-built documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a rising Junior, Senior, Master's, MBA candidate graduating within the next year, or PhD candidate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to new challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with structured technical reviews.
- Degrees in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering are preferred.
- Experience with PLC or coding is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Houston, Texas.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
