About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern on the Strategy and AI team, you will work on projects that directly impact our geothermal energy operations. You will own a project from day one and drive it for the duration of your internship. At the end of the term, you will present your work to our executive leadership and department leads. This role is based in Houston and focuses on building the internal infrastructure and tools that support our data and AI initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and maintain internal software tools and applications.
- Collaborate with the Software Engineering Team to integrate models and data pipelines into products.
- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
- Support the development of internal dashboards, APIs, and automation tools.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative on new challenges.
- Experience with web frameworks, APIs, or cloud infrastructure like AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI or ML tooling is helpful.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship located in Houston, Texas.
