About the role#
The Product and Technology Intern role offers hands-on experience within the energy technology sector. You will work alongside experienced professionals to solve real-world problems and contribute to projects that support our mission. This position requires you to take ownership of your tasks and demonstrate accountability throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Develop an understanding of the First Solar business model and our technology environment.
- Perform analytical project work and collaborate with multiple departments.
- Lead at least one engineering-based project, culminating in an end-of-term report and presentation to the leadership team.
- Participate in or lead meetings with First Solar staff and customers.
- Work with an assigned mentor to complete training and development goals.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- An overall GPA of 3.00 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- An analytical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Preference may be given to candidates available for multiple terms.
Location & details#
- Location: Perrysburg, Ohio.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31, 2026, to November 30, 2026).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 58 pounds, climb stairs, and use personal protective equipment as required by safety standards.
