About the role#
Fishbeck is looking for a Transportation Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work with our transportation team to design roads, bridges, and other civil infrastructure for municipal clients and the Department of Transportation. This is a full-time internship based in Michigan, with opportunities for hybrid or on-site work.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design of roads, bridges, and civil infrastructure projects.
- Produce design drawings using AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer.
- Help engineers with technical documentation and calculations.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams across different office locations.
- Solve engineering challenges and help manage project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A desire to learn and contribute to active projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is helpful.
- Previous internship or DOT project experience is a plus.
