About the role#
Fives is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Hebron, Kentucky. You will work with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and support new product introductions.
What you'll do#
- Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Provide daily technical support to production operations and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Create and update process documentation, including work instructions, PFMEAs, and standard operating procedures.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvement strategies.
- Ensure all processes follow safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies.
- Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and maintain facility layouts in CAD.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Two or more years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering is preferred.
- A strong understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
- Experience with CAD software, industrial automation, and manufacturing equipment.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
