About the role#
As a News Desk Intern at TMZ, you will gain exposure to newsgathering, television production, and digital content creation. You will work directly with our assignment desk staff to learn the operations of a major entertainment news organization. This is a paid position that provides hands-on experience and access to informative speaker sessions.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the daily production process at TMZ.
- Assist the team with various organizational projects.
- Conduct research to support news-gathering efforts.
- Call sources when you have received prior approval.
- Participate in educational speaker sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in college.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the entertainment news industry through your coursework or previous experience.
- Ability to commit to the full program duration from October 2026 through December 2026.
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week, consisting of two or more 10-hour days.
- Comfort with a work shift that starts at 6:00 AM.
- Relevant academic background in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
