About the role#
GBA is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern for our Life Sciences group in Broomfield, Colorado. You will join an integrated team of architects, engineers, and project managers who design mechanical and electrical systems for the bio-pharma industry.
What you'll do#
- Prepare construction documents for various systems.
- Review shop drawings and RFIs.
- Verify permitting and code requirements.
- Conduct facility evaluations and engineering studies.
- Assist with troubleshooting and commissioning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
- Completed at least two years of school.
- A GPA of 2.7 or higher is strongly preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Excel is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Involvement in campus, community, or volunteer organizations.
- Prior internship or related experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Broomfield, Colorado.
- The role is full-time and paid with a range of $24 to $26.50 per hour, depending on years of school completed.
- You must be able to sit, stand, climb, and work on active construction sites for extended periods.
- You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work at heights using ladders, scaffolds, or stairs.
