About the role#
GE Vernova is looking for an intern to join our nuclear licensing team in Wilmington, North Carolina. This role supports licensing activities for the current fleet of boiling water reactor nuclear plants in the United States. You will work on-site for a full-time, 40-hour work week during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Create strategic plans to implement the next wave of power uprates for our global fleet of boiling water reactors.
- Review and interpret new nuclear regulations, then update our internal procedures and processes to align with these requirements.
- Learn existing licensing methodologies and identify opportunities to improve them.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Law, or a similar field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
