    About the role#

    The GPS Student Apprentice position is a paid, full-time opportunity based in Berlin, Wisconsin. This role is open to current high school students enrolled in a qualified GPS Apprenticeship program. You will work on-site in a manufacturing environment, gaining hands-on experience with assembly processes and equipment.

    What you'll do#

    • Assemble products using work instructions, drawings, schematics, and electronic equipment.
    • Follow safety standards for all tools and machinery.
    • Cross train across multiple assembly areas to support business needs.
    • Participate in team meetings to share job-related information.
    • Resolve assembly problems with help from peers or supervisors.
    • Provide basic training to other employees on standard work instructions.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a qualified GPS Apprenticeship program.
    • Previous manufacturing or mechanical experience, or relevant school coursework.
    • Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively within a team.
    • Proficiency in basic reading, writing, and math.
    • Ability to interpret visual diagrams and use basic hand tools.
    • Capacity to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
