    About the role#

    The Student Researcher program connects students with research projects that align with scientific advancement priorities. You will join teams across the company to support research, development, and science initiatives. These projects are exploratory and focus on solving large-scale, real-world problems. You will work on collaborative teams to explore research challenges and help create new technologies.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in research projects to develop solutions for complex, large-scale problems.
    • Work with teams to explore innovative research challenges.
    • Support the creation of new technologies.
    • Contribute to research communities and ongoing efforts.
    • Use current computer science techniques to advance systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Canada in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or a related technical field.
    • Experience in a computer science area such as Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning, or Software Development.
    • Experience with general purpose programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or C/C++.
    • Prior experience as a researcher, including lab work or previous internships.
    • Proficiency in English for global collaboration.

    Location & details#

    • Locations: Waterloo, ON; Montreal, QC; or Toronto, ON.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2026, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
    • This program is non-conversion eligible and intended for students who are not seeking full-time employment immediately following the role.
