    About the role#

    The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking students for the Future Opportunity Stream in Heritage, Arts, and Culture. This is a centralized intake process where one application allows you to be considered for multiple student roles across the province. These positions provide hands-on experience in museums, historic sites, and community-focused environments. You will contribute to the preservation and sharing of Nova Scotia's history and culture while gaining practical skills for your future career.

    What you'll do#

    • Greet visitors and share stories in museums.
    • Support the delivery of interactive programs and tours.
    • Assist with the care and organization of historical artifacts.
    • Support marketing initiatives and special events.
    • Help plan and deliver interactive events.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a high-school or post-secondary program.
    • A strong work ethic and a genuine interest in heritage, arts, culture, tourism, or community engagement.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and enjoy working with people.
    • Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
    • Organizational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.
