About the role#
The Retail Agronomy Intern monitors crop health and assists with general agronomy functions. You will work with customers to provide accurate reports and support the overall operations of the branch.
What you'll do#
- Inspect customer crop fields using IPM techniques and GPS technology to identify weeds, insects, and diseases.
- Document findings and share reports with customers and agronomy specialists.
- Drive a company vehicle to visit field locations.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Attend technical training sessions and meetings.
- Help with various agricultural retail operational duties.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of production agriculture.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to travel independently.
- Ability to walk crop fields and perform visual inspections.
- Willingness to participate in required training.
- Ability to lift 51-70 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
