About the role#
This is a 10-week internship program at Harbor Group Management Company. You will work on-site at a multifamily property, gaining hands-on experience by shadowing roles such as the Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager, and Maintenance Supervisor. You will also contribute to the 2027 Capstone Project. The program includes housing in a fully furnished apartment at the property with rent and utilities covered, plus travel expenses for internship events at headquarters.
What you'll do#
- Assist with leasing activities, including responding to inquiries, qualifying prospects, and showing apartments.
- Manage move-in paperwork and conduct apartment inspections with new residents.
- Enter prospect and resident data accurately into Yardi.
- Process application fees, security deposits, and rent payments.
- Learn to manage lease renewals, track expirations, and prepare lease letters.
- Support resident functions and monitor property curb appeal.
- Record and follow up on resident service requests.
- Maintain an organized workspace and professional conduct.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year accredited program for Property Management, Real Estate, Marketing, or a similar field.
- Status as a rising Junior or Senior.
- At least 1 year of customer service work experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers.
