About the role#
Harrison Street Asset Management is hiring an intern for the Portfolio Management team. This 10-week summer program offers exposure to the firm's investment management process. You will work alongside senior leadership and gain experience in private equity real estate. The role involves managing activities within the firm's funds, from capital raising and asset acquisition to fund winddown.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial analysis for the Portfolio Management group.
- Compile data from internal sources to support department analysis.
- Monitor fund performance to identify opportunities and threats.
- Analyze sector, strategy, and partner performance.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual investor reporting materials.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings, including Investment Committee sessions.
- Coordinate with Client Services, Marketing, and Accounting to respond to investor requests.
- Use software such as Yardi, Chatham, and Argus for data collection.
- Help implement firmwide data platforms by validating historical and new information.
What you'll need#
- You must be a junior in college to apply.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Real Estate.
- Core knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated, organized, and self-directed work style.
