About the role#
HealthFitness offers internship opportunities for students completing their university requirements. You will work at a facility to gain hands-on experience in fitness and health-related areas. This role is based in Spring, Texas, for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Provide supervision and fitness guidance to facility members.
- Perform fitness evaluations and interpret data to prescribe exercise programs.
- Assist with compiling participation data and completing reports.
- Develop or implement special events and health programming.
- Contribute to the marketing of fitness services through various channels.
- Teach at least one group exercise class format.
- Shadow personal trainers and assist with daily office duties.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior level Bachelor's or Master's student.
- Degree focus in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Recreation, Health Education, Health Promotion, or related fields.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
