About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a corporate fitness center. You will work at our client site in Chicago to complete your university internship requirements and gain exposure to various health and wellness operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide supervision and fitness guidance for facility members.
- Perform fitness evaluations, interpret data, and prescribe exercise programs.
- Assist in compiling participation data and completing reports.
- Coordinate and support special events related to health and wellness.
- Attend all regularly scheduled office hours and meetings.
- Help staff with daily office duties and contribute to program marketing.
What you'll need#
- You must be a Junior or Senior level Bachelor's or Master's student in Kinesiology, Health Administration, Public Health, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification is required.
- Strong communication skills to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
- A Personal Training or Group Exercise certification is a plus.
