About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a corporate fitness center. You will work on-site in Roseville, California, during the Fall 2026 semester. This is a paid, part-time position designed to help students fulfill university internship requirements.
What you'll do#
- Supervise members and provide fitness and wellness guidance.
- Perform fitness evaluations and summarize test data for clients.
- Prescribe strength and cardiovascular exercise programs.
- Develop or implement a special event or program.
- Assist with marketing fitness and wellness services.
- Help compile participation data and prepare reports.
- Support staff with daily office tasks and attend scheduled meetings.
- Teach group exercise classes and shadow personal trainers.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status in a Bachelor's or Master's program for Kinesiology or Health Administration.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
- Strong communication skills to work with a diverse group of people.
- A Personal Training or Group Exercise certification is preferred.
