About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our mining operations. You will work alongside our team to support technical projects and field activities. This is a full-time, paid position based in Irving, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the CCA team and operations to develop drilling programs and manage drill projects.
- Assist with reserve and resource calculations, pit shell evaluations, and volume estimations for mining operations.
- Create technical maps, drawings, and documentation using ArcGIS and other tools for mine planning and reporting.
- Manage drill campaigns and project data through various stages of development.
- Participate in geological fieldwork, data collection, and geological assessments.
- Support health and safety initiatives across field and office activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently a 3rd year, 4th year, or masters level student pursuing a degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Strong observation, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in mining and with AutoCAD or mining software is an asset.
- Experience working around drill rigs or core logging is an asset.
- A valid driver license and personal transportation.
