    About the role#

    Henkel is hiring a Product Development Intern for the Adhesive Technologies business unit. You will work on projects related to the Automotive OEM market. This position is a paid, full-time internship based in Madison Heights, Michigan. It is an on-site role available for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms, running from January 11th to August 13th.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop products for the Automotive OEM market.
    • Run laboratory experiments and pilot-scale processes to test new raw materials and formulations.
    • Apply industrial chemistry techniques to support product development and optimization.
    • Operate and maintain scientific instruments for testing and analysis.
    • Document experimental results and contribute to technical reports and presentations.
    • Learn and apply new chemical processes and technologies.

    What you'll need#

    • Current sophomore or junior status pursuing a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
    • Proficiency in basic laboratory practices, safety protocols, and handling chemical substances.
    • Ability to gather, interpret, and analyze large data sets.
    • Familiarity with scientific instruments used in chemical analysis and product testing.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience troubleshooting experiments and proposing data-driven improvements.
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams.

    • Location: Madison Heights, MI.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $22-27 per hour.
    • Note: This position does not offer housing or relocation support. Sponsorship is not provided.
