    About the role#

    The Mission Systems Engineering team builds and integrates the hardware and software that allow our aircraft to complete missions. As an intern, you will work across avionics, software, communications, and system integration. You will help build, test, and troubleshoot mission capabilities while working alongside our software, avionics, autonomy, and flight-test teams.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the integration and testing of mission hardware, software, sensors, radios, processors, and avionics systems.
    • Develop and test software for command and control, telemetry, and subsystem interfaces.
    • Perform hardware and software bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting in lab, HIL, ground-test, and aircraft environments.
    • Support system interfaces, networking, communication protocols, and integration requirements.
    • Document test results, technical findings, and system configurations.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • Hands-on experience with software development and hardware integration through coursework, projects, research, or previous internships.
    • Programming experience in C++, Python, or a similar language.
    • Experience with embedded systems, electronics, avionics, sensors, or networking.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or above.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA or Los Angeles, CA.
    • Terms are available for Winter 2027 (16 weeks) and Summer 2027 (12 weeks).
    • This position is paid.
    • Candidates must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 to meet U.S. export control requirements.
