    About the role#

    We are looking for students to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Los Angeles. You will support initiatives to expand our in-house manufacturing capabilities and contribute to the design, build, and testing of flight and ground support hardware.

    What you'll do#

    • Evaluate designs for manufacturability and provide feedback to the design team.
    • Design and implement tooling and test solutions to support component delivery.
    • Develop new processes and procedures for flight hardware builds.
    • Manage projects to meet timelines while communicating with stakeholders.
    • Provide data-driven solutions to technical issues during the build process.
    • Interface with technicians and engineers to resolve product non-conformances.
    • Develop and refine floor layouts.
    • Support capacity modeling and time studies to prioritize process improvements.
    • Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to solve production challenges.

    What you'll need#

    • Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies, or projects.
    • Current enrollment in a STEM program at an accredited college or university.
    • Status as an undergraduate student in your third or fourth year, or enrollment in a Master's or Ph.D. program.
    • Strong understanding of engineering first principles and an interest in vehicle hardware.
    • Ability to work within cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or above.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Los Angeles, California.
    • Terms: Winter 2027, Summer 2027, or Fall 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
    • Compensation: $25-33 per hour, determined by degree level.
    • Benefits: 5 days of sick leave, unpaid time off, weekly paid office lunches, and stocked breakrooms.
    • Compliance: This role requires access to information subject to U.S. export controls. You must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
