About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for the 2027 term. Please note that this specific opportunity is open only to current and recent HNTB interns. You will work on-site at one of our office locations to assist with architectural projects and gain hands-on experience under close supervision.
What you'll do#
- Perform elementary architectural assignments based on the designs of others.
- Compile data and perform basic computations for project tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of working drawings and contract documents.
- Conduct preliminary studies to gather information on space and design requirements.
- Create sketches, research specifications, and perform basic design and occupancy analysis.
- Support business development and reporting tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary architectural or related program.
- Basic knowledge of architectural principles and the ability to perform fundamental computations.
- Proficiency in compiling data for architectural plans and reports.

- Locations: Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Tampa, FL; New York, NY; Miami, FL; Seattle, WA; and Denver, CO.
- This role is on-site and does not provide housing or relocation assistance.
