About the role#
As a Tax Intern at Honkamp, P.C., you will apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects. You will work alongside our team to provide tax support and gain exposure to the public accounting industry. This role is a chance to develop your technical skills and client service abilities while exploring a potential long-term career path with our firm.
What you'll do#
- Prepare level 3 and 4 tax returns.
- Document your work effectively.
- Learn our tax processes, including scan, assembly, and verification procedures.
- Assist with data entry and maintain tax-related records.
- Support various administrative functions.
- Become familiar with our internal tax, workflow, and verification software.
- Act as an ambassador to your university.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting-related degree program.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Ability to learn the operation of basic office equipment.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working in a shared office environment and sitting at a desk for extended periods.
