About the role#
As a Systems Developer Coop in the Pension Core team, you will support the quality and reliability of the Insight platform. You will work with Systems Developers and Business Analysts to solve problems that impact Ontario healthcare workers. This is an 8-month internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain automated test cases using C# and Playwright.
- Translate business requirements into test scenarios using Gherkin.
- Use Azure DevOps for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Assist with test automation by using AI-enabled tools to generate and refine test cases.
- Maintain test data and environments for execution.
- Use SQL to analyze data when troubleshooting test failures.
- Collaborate with the team during Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a University or College coop program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of an object-oriented programming language such as C# or Java.
- Familiarity with or interest in learning test automation tools like Playwright or Selenium.
- Basic understanding of SQL or a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working and team collaboration.
- Analytical skills and an organized approach to work.
