    About the role#

    This summer internship provides an opportunity to gain corporate experience while supporting environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives. You will work on projects that improve workplace safety, risk management, and operational standards. During this 10 to 12-week program, you will apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects, collaborate with teams, and present your findings to local management at the end of the summer.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and update Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
    • Conduct risk, ergonomic, and machine guarding assessments.
    • Support LOTO and SDS compliance programs.
    • Improve safety training processes for new hires.
    • Create standardized work, pre-shift checklists, and corrective actions to strengthen safety performance.

    What you'll need#

    • Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Health Administration, or Public Health.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
    • Familiarity with relevant software and systems.

    • Location: Iron Mountain, Michigan.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $22.50 to $29.00 per hour.
    • This is a full-time, paid position.
