    About the role#

    Humber River Health is hiring Student Nurse Externs for the 9th floor. This is a temporary part-time position where you will support patients in a medicine and surgical program. You will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses to provide direct care.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide direct personal support to patients.
    • Manage basic care needs, including bathing, toileting, and feeding, for up to 10 patients.
    • Document activities of daily living, such as intake and output.
    • Report clinical concerns immediately to your direct supervisor.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in years 2-4 of a nursing program.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
    • Understanding of technology use in a clinical setting.
    • Good work attendance.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Toronto, Ontario.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends (8 or 12-hour shifts).
    • Contract duration: Through March 31, 2027.
