About the role#
Interfor is hiring a Silviculture Intern to support forest management and regeneration projects in Chase, British Columbia. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. You will work directly with forestry professionals and contractors to gain practical experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Support sustainable forest management and forest regeneration activities.
- Collect and analyze field data to help monitor forest health.
- Use GPS and mapping tools to navigate forest areas and assist with projects.
- Collaborate with forestry professionals and contractors to help monitor field operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a recognized university or college forestry program.
- A completed field season or a strong interest in building practical silviculture experience.
- Comfort using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to spend time outdoors in a forested environment and travel over uneven terrain.
