About the role#
The Operations Team in Silver Spring supports administrative functions to maintain a compliant environment for staff, clients, and partners. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in non-profit operations, including procurement, IT, and office management, while supporting the needs of the local office.
What you'll do#
- Manage and maintain digital and physical files for office inventory.
- Track and report on office inventory needs, including contributions in-kind and procured items.
- Assist with IT and office supply inventory, as well as on-site and off-site storage needs.
- Provide front desk support to ensure office infrastructure runs smoothly.
- Help plan and coordinate office meetings and events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to solve problems and follow through on tasks.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in logistics, procurement, or IT.
- Background in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or Communications is helpful.
Location & details#
- Location: Silver Spring, Maryland.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September through December).
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Minimum of 24 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Interns may be eligible for a per diem reimbursement of $15 per day for food and travel costs.
