About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry. It is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. You will work to advance the purpose of InterVarsity while developing your own spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to team plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to demonstrate the Gospel.
- Learn to model and assist students in growing in their love for God's people of every ethnicity and culture.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
- Engage with training and supervision from your staff ministry director.
- Serve as an ambassador of the organization to ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities such as initiative, self-awareness, communication, professionalism, and cross-cultural competence.
- You are eager to learn and work well within a team.

- Location: Michigan (Metro Detroit and Flint area).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Compensation: This is a paid position. Compensation is funded through personal fundraising, and the final amount depends on your ability to secure a donor team.
