About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry. You will develop your leadership skills, spiritual understanding, and ministry experience. The role is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. Eligibility depends on your year of study. You will work with a campus ministry team to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ and discern your call to ministry service.
What you'll do#
- Participate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to the team's plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students how to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus to build witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse.
- Seek opportunities to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Guide chapters in strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Model and assist students and faculty in growing their love for people of every ethnicity and culture.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle in students.
- Engage with supervision and training from your staff ministry trainer or director.
- Serve as an ambassador of the organization to ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities such as initiative, self-awareness, communication, and professionalism.
- You possess cross-cultural competence, teamwork skills, and relational maturity.
- You are eager to learn.
- Preferred majors include Human Resources or Psychology.
