About the role#
The Marshalltown Community College Esports program seeks two students to fill the role of Team Manager. This position provides administrative support to the coaching staff and helps student-athletes succeed through behind-the-scenes coordination. This is a paid, part-time, on-site role with a rolling term. It is well-suited for students pursuing degrees in Communications or Media Studies.
What you'll do#
- Complete administrative and secretarial tasks assigned by the coaching staff.
- Supervise Division 3 NJCAAE matches and manage match chat operations.
- Facilitate communication with other coaches, students, and third parties via email, Discord, and tournament platforms.
- Manage student study tables once per week.
- Create and maintain scouting reports for esports teams.
- Produce and manage content for MCC social media channels.
- Answer general inquiries from students in-person or through Discord.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience navigating software including Word, Excel, Discord, and PlayVS or similar platforms.
- Ability to manage peers and supervise students in a personnel management capacity.
- Skill in creating and operating professional social media accounts.
- Ability to compose professional written responses and solve problems in a timely manner.
- Professional conduct in all communications and behaviors.

- Location: Marshalltown, Iowa.
- Work Modality: On-site at the MCC Esports Arena and Console Lounge.
- Pay: $10.00 per hour.
