About the role#
This Supplemental Instruction Work Study position supports students at Ellsworth Community College. You will work under the TRIO department to help peers succeed in their coursework. This role covers the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Schedule and host weekly sessions for your assigned classes.
- Attend the targeted classes to take notes and join in on discussions.
- Identify and document specific course requirements to guide your sessions.
- Help students review their notes and discuss assigned readings.
- Create organizational tools and help students prepare for upcoming exams.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A grade of B+ or higher in the specific course you are supporting.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- The ability to work 8 to 10 hours per week.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- A helpful attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
- To act as a model student who understands effective study strategies.

- Compensation: $13.00 per hour.
