About the role#
Ithaca College is looking for students to oversee sport club activities. You will manage facilities and ensure that practices and games run safely for participants and spectators. This position provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Supervise sport club practices and games while enforcing university policies and safety protocols.
- Manage facility usage by teams and spectators.
- Communicate rules and protocols to everyone at the venue.
- Act as a point of contact for coaches, club members, and university staff.
- Assist with the setup, breakdown, and general operations of club sport events.
What you'll need#
- First Aid and CPR certification, or a willingness to obtain it upon hiring.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a group.
- Knowledge of sports and relevant guidelines is preferred.
- Previous leadership or supervisor experience is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Schedule: Must be available to work nights, evenings, and weekends.
- Compensation: $16.00 per hour.
- Majors: Kinesiology, Health Administration, Business Administration, and Psychology students are encouraged to apply.
- Terms: This is a paid, on-site, full-time student position with rolling start dates.
