    About the role#

    The Ithaca College Annual Fund is hiring student callers for the Phonathon program. This role involves reaching out to alumni and parents to share campus news and secure financial support for the college. You will work in a professional setting while gaining experience in communication and fundraising.

    What you'll do#

    • Connect with alumni and parents through calling, texting, and emailing.
    • Share updates on campus events, initiatives, and news.
    • Explain the mission and priorities of Ithaca College.
    • Request gifts to support the college via credit card, pledge, or check.
    • Update records and maintain accurate information.
    • Accept coaching from managers and supervisors to improve your skills.
    • Meet established performance standards and maintain a positive attitude.
    • Balance your schoolwork with your job hours.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a student at Ithaca College.
    • Familiarity with the campus, its history, and activities.
    • A courteous and engaging personality.
    • Clear verbal communication skills over the telephone.
    • Ability to present information concisely and persuasively.
    • Strong time-management skills.
    • Ability to follow directions and record data accurately.
    • Interest in supporting the college.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Ithaca, New York.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Pay: $16.00 per hour.
    • Schedule: Two shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
    • Employment is contingent upon a criminal background check and completion of I-9 eligibility requirements.
