About the role#
STEM Student Ambassadors assist in sharing Ithaca College programs with prospective students and their families. You will represent the college during recruitment efforts, answer questions, and help visitors understand the student experience in STEM fields.
What you'll do#
- Complete the New Hire training program.
- Lead facility tours on Mondays and Fridays.
- Support Open House and Accepted Student programs during weekdays or weekends.
- Cover extra tour shifts when necessary.
- Maintain good academic standing throughout your employment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a student in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- A flexible, professional, and responsible approach to your work.
- Genuine interest in the STEM programs at Ithaca College.
- Commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment.
- Ability to answer questions in an honest and optimistic manner.
- A positive attitude and the initiative to get tasks done.
- Public speaking and communication skills.
- Prior experience conducting research with a STEM professor is a plus.
