About the role#
Unity Center Program Assistants work with professional staff to develop and deliver resources across campus. You will gain experience in program coordination, marketing, and public speaking. This role involves facilitating conversations about identity, diversity, equity, and social change.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate original workshops for students that cover identity, social change, and equity.
- Create marketing materials and coordinate events.
- Provide office coverage, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
- Support the planning and execution of large-scale events.
- Attend student staff meetings and participate in development opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Maintain a 2.75 GPA and a minimum of 12 credits.
- Demonstrate an understanding of campus resources and services.
- Possess effective communication skills.
- Maintain good academic and judicial standing.
- Show a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $16.00 per hour.
- Hours: 6-10 hours per week during the academic year, with potential for evening and weekend work.
- Term: Rolling.
