    About the role#

    Ithaca College is hiring Teaching Assistants for various Cinema and Photography (CNPH) courses for the Fall 2026 semester. These positions offer experiential learning opportunities for students to support faculty and peers in a production-based academic environment.

    What you'll do#

    Responsibilities vary by course and include:

    • Assist with equipment management, including pickup, setup, maintenance, and return.
    • Support in-class demonstrations, workshops, and production activities.
    • Provide peer-to-peer guidance and technical support during editing sessions and shoots.
    • Offer constructive feedback during critique screenings.
    • Organize in-class presentations, rehearsal materials, and thesis screenings.
    • Help manage film clips and instructional materials.

    What you'll need#

    • You must have previously taken the specific course for which you are applying.
    • Grade requirements vary by course, ranging from a B to an A.
    • You must satisfy all employment eligibility requirements, including completion of the I-9 process with original identification documents.
    • You must attach a resume and your class schedule to your application.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Ithaca, New York.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $16 per hour.
    • Commitment: Between 2 and 4 hours per week, depending on the specific course and section.
