About the role#
The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance Center for Music Production Services is hiring Video Operators for Webcasting Services. This position involves live streaming over 30 concerts per semester at the Whalen Center for Music. The role is split evenly between video and audio tasks.
What you'll do#
- Review concert programs in advance to check for broadcast rights.
- Operate video and audio equipment for live webcasts.
- Work with a Score Reader during live broadcasts.
- Record concerts locally.
What you'll need#
- Comfort using Dante network systems and 32 channel digital consoles.
- A strong understanding of musical terms and instrumentation.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to respond to feedback.
- Preferred background in Media Studies or Art.
