About the role#
This Federal Work Study position in Student Advocacy supports campus engagement and student representation at Ivy Tech Community College. You will work directly with administration and student groups to help shape campus initiatives and gather feedback from the student body.
What you'll do#
- Plan and coordinate student events including forums, town halls, and workshops.
- Collaborate with campus departments and student organizations to encourage participation.
- Create promotional materials and social media content for advocacy events.
- Gather student feedback through surveys and focus groups to guide future programming.
- Act as a liaison between students and the administration to present student perspectives.
- Track and report on event outcomes, such as attendance and engagement levels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in at least 6 credit hours at Ivy Tech.
- Eligibility for federal work study funding with a completed FAFSA on file.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.
- Status as a student making Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Majors in Communications, Political Science, Sociology, or Business Administration are preferred.
