About the role#
Federal Work Study positions are part-time, federally funded roles. You will work primarily on-campus, though some placements exist at government or non-profit agencies. These roles offer flexible hours that accommodate your individual class schedule. Students are limited to a maximum of 20 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
Specific duties depend on your assignment and will be discussed during the interview. Common tasks include:
- General office and clerical support
- Maintenance work
- Assisting in labs
- Tutoring
- Providing technology assistance
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED
- Enrollment in at least 1 credit hour of eligible courses, either currently or for the upcoming term
- An aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status
- A current FAFSA on file
- Demonstrated financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office
