About the role#
The Automotive Lab Tech position is a part-time work-study role for current Ivy Tech students. You will report to the Chair of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Applied Science to support daily operations in the lab and classroom.
What you'll do#
- Prepare materials for classes.
- Track inventory of consumables and non-consumables in the welding area.
- Perform maintenance on automotive equipment and machinery.
- Handle general housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping, wiping down equipment, organizing pallets, and emptying shop trash.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an Ivy Tech student with work-study eligibility.
- Completion of a FAFSA for the current academic year showing financial need.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Enrollment in at least 1 credit hour of eligible courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
