    About the role#

    This is a year-round, part-time position for students to work alongside our full-time staff. You will join the Engine Application Engineering team for John Deere Power Systems in Waterloo, Iowa. This role requires you to work on-site.

    What you'll do#

    • Support Engine Application Engineers with industrial and marine projects.
    • Build and maintain project management tools, including SharePoint sites and PowerBI reports.
    • Develop software and scripts to assist with data automation.
    • Perform database querying and web-based application development.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited university or college.
    • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
    • A graduation date of Spring 2028 or later.
    • A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
    • Programming experience with Python, Java, or C+.
    • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer.
    • Must be at least 18 years old.

    Location & details#

    • This position is located in Waterloo, Iowa.
    • Work is performed on-site.
    • This role is not available to students on immigration visas.
