    About the role#

    The Materials Engineering Co-Op position focuses on raw material characterization and qualification. You will work on various engineering and research assignments while collaborating with global material suppliers and internal teams. This role provides exposure to both domestic and international partners.

    What you'll do#

    • Review project progress, evaluate data, and present results across functional groups.
    • Coordinate raw material and contact lens testing and protocol requirements.
    • Conduct engineering assignments related to business continuity and cost improvement.
    • Promote the continuous improvement of technology and processes.
    • Follow environmental policies and support department objectives.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Bioengineering, Polymer Science and Engineering, or a related field.
    • 0 to 3 years of experience with a BS in an Engineering or Science discipline.
    • Availability to work 40 hours per week on-site in Jacksonville.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Proficiency in organization and statistical design of experiments.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
    • A minimum GPA of 3.0.
