About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 Kickstart Internship Program in Federal Way, Washington. This full-time, paid position supports project teams working on water resources, water quality, treatment, and pipeline design for various clients. You will gain hands-on experience through project work, mentorship, and professional networking.
What you'll do#
- Apply academic skills and calculations to real project work.
- Manage ongoing tasks and communicate with team members and clients.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Visit project sites for fieldwork and documentation.
- Prepare technical reports, design plans, and project calculations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least sophomore standing in an accredited engineering program.
Location & details#
- Location: Federal Way, Washington.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
- Compensation: $21 to $26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
