About the role#
We are hiring a Controls Engineer Co-Op to join our team in Grand Rapids. You will work alongside a project implementation team to support routine engineering planning and execution. This role involves hands-on experience with system design, documentation, and field work.
What you'll do#
- Develop layout and electrical schematic drawings using Maestro and AutoCAD-E.
- Assist with the creation of Bills of Material.
- Learn to identify and place controls components within system designs.
- Gain exposure to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and basic programming concepts.
- Travel to North American job sites to assist with equipment commissioning.
- Identify and resolve straightforward technical problems as they arise.
- Participate in professional development sessions and team-based innovation challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Active pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar modeling software is preferred.

- This position is based on-site at our office in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- This is a full-time, paid co-op position with a rolling term.
